Maven Veterinary Care has been providing pet care since 1990, and its website highlights a team selected around “empathy, integrity and passion.” Recent reviews describe it handling both urgent cases (including a dog needing an emergency stomach pump after eating something potentially toxic) and ongoing support for very ill pets (including end‑of‑life support for a rescue cat).
Feedback is mixed on front‑of‑house experience: several owners praise friendly, efficient care, while others report blunt or unempathetic interactions from the “Customer Care Team” and frustration with how a simple nail clip request was handled before a staff member stepped in and completed it quickly.

Lovely lady on reception. Great vet Kate, who diagnosed the problem with our little dog very quickly and efficiently. He is now on the mend. Thank you!

Absolutely dreadful service yesterday. I popped in quickly to have my dogs claw clipped which had been missed by the vet when he was under GA a few months back. Katie on the desk said she would go and find a nurse out the back and was gone for 5 minutes to then tell me they wasn’t one…..! she also recommended I could go to a Pet groomers to have it done!!! After paying over £2000 for treatment a few months back I was expecting more professional after care not told to go to the local groomers. She then offered me an appointment for and hour and a half’s time!! I explained it was a 2 second procedure, their error and an appointment would take it from somebody else who would need it for their pet. Katie then proceeded to waste even more time to then look up on her computer what my conversation with Mike the vet was when my dog was booked in in the first place. All so pointless and wasting more time. I said I can not believe there is not one nurse free to snip this claw. She then said she would have another look, but no apology for the time I had been already waiting and was gone for another 5 minutes. No available nurses is concerning when there are sick and convalescing animals out the back. In the meantime Anneka appeared I explained everything & she placed my dog on her table, cut his nail offered him a treat and I was back out the room in less than 1 minute! How simple was that? Then Katie decided to appear again still with no nurse. I said to Katie how easy and simple was that??!! That’s the service she should’ve offered. Her service on the front desk was absolutely dreadful and her colleague Becky was not very polite either. It’s a shame you are not as eager to help your customers in their after care service as much as you are eager to send invoices for payments!!

Had to bring in my dog for an emergency stomach pump as she'd eaten something potentially toxic. Everyone was so friendly, efficient and so good with Isla. Made it a very easy and stress free process.

The vets are fine but the "Customer Care Team" are blunt and lack empathy. I think their team name is ironic.

They have a wonderful team. Everyone is very kind and supportive. They helped me out a lot with my rescue cat who was very ill and tried their best to make his last few days manageable. And even after his passing they have provided me with a lot of support and kindness. Thank you so much to your entire team I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me 💕
